Apple has always been and it continues to be a master in improving its products noticeably every year. In 2013 it came up with two new iPhones, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. 2013 was also seen a major development in software section of Apple. iOS7, iLife, iWork were overhauled for the first time in several years. Apple also made most of its software available free of cost in 2013.
In 2014, Apple is supposed to come up with another major incremental update in OS X. Alongside, the iOS 8 is also about to replace the iOS 7, thereby smoothening its rough edges. The iPod got no attention of the developers in 2013. The Apple Maps also require improvement in the sense that the hardware and software provided by Apple is doubtlessly doing well but what about the service it provides. 2014 should be the year when Apple should also focus on its service providing counterpart.
Apple is also expected to come up with more and wider use of Bluetooth 4 wireless standard, where earphone, speakers, wearable accessories are some of them. Apple is also supposed to debut in iOS-ready health accessories this year. A variety of different iterations are also expected to emerge on the themes of accuracy of spare batteries in Apple gadgets where unlike other companies, Apple shows the percentage of charge remaining in batteries rather than representing them just by bars.
